And so it starts!

This is a year of milestone birthday’s in our family … Daniel’s 21st, my 50th and Matthew’s 13th.

The time that I have been dreading, the second of these, has finally started!

Mind you, it is off to pretty fine start with a dinner for my family last night at the local Chinese restaurant. With too much food, just enough to drink and some really nice company the night was capped off back at our home with one of my mum’s famous sponges … complete with the centerpiece from my 21st bithday cake!

My mum, sisters and their families have given me a V8 Supercar drive experience from Adrenalin Experiences! Guys, this is a freakin’ wonderful gift … thank you very much. I can hardly wait, although I think I will at least leave it until such a time as the weather can almost guarantee me a dry track. I can’t see much point in driving fast cars when the track is too wet.

The festivities continue this evening with a dinner at The Ed for a few friends, more about that after the event.
