[thumb:1231:l][thumb:1232:l][newline] We went along as we often do on Saturday to freeze our …. off watching Unley Rangers, and Dan in particular, play soccer. This was a “cup” round, for those of you not into soccer this is a knockout competition, meaning no draws.
As it turned out the “early” game ended as a draw and went to extra time and eventually a penalty shoot-out. As a result Dan’s game started at around 3.40 … and it too was a draw at full time. The ref, it what was probably his only good decision all bloody day, decided that 10 minutes extra time each way was all that would be played!
The shots above are at about 5 minutes before the end of the second period of extra time. (They’ll enlarge if you click them) They are in fact the same photo, the first one is as it looked at the time and the second has had its brightness increased by +75, just to prove that there were actually players still on the pitch. Look hard, they are there!
For the record, Dan actually managed a save about 1 minute before this was taken! Also for the record, Rangers won.
